Call Out Ceremonies

Call out Ceremony 1
1) Equipment: 4 Blow horns, 1 candle lantern per brother Min., President, District scout.
2) Arrangement: From Council fire position, Boys in a arc sitting down in front, woods or areas to be hidden from boys. The brothers are to be hidden in three groups (left, center, right) along with their candle lanterns, one from each group to have a horn. The scout will have the fourth horn.
3) Make it happen:
Chapter President explains what the callout is, then asks the scout to call for the brothers The scout then appears, takes his blow horn and blows long and loud (practice) to his left. This is echoed by a brother hidden on that side, and upon the start of his blow, all the brothers on that side stand and show their lanterns. The scout then blows to the center, likewise the return and the showing of the lights The scout blows to the final side with like response and upon all lanterns shown all brothers proceed to the council fire area.
