Corn BreadIngredients 1 cup yellow corn meal l cup Whole Wheat flour 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1 Tbsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 cup milk 1/3 cup vegetable oil 1 egg lightly beaten Combine corn meal, flour, sugar, baking power and salt in a medium bowl. Combine milk, oil and egg in small bowl - mix well. Add milk mixture to flour mixture. Stir just until blended. Pour into greased Dutch Oven. Bake: Place Dutch Oven over 6 hot coals and place 12 hot coals on top of lid. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm with lots of butter, and also good with honey. Note: I use a 2 qt. Dutch Oven for this recipe. Any size will work.
